How to Read Manhwa Online: A Site Guide

New to reading manhwa online? This guide shows how to find a series in the HentaiManhwa catalog, choose a starting chapter, and use the reader controls.

Find a series

Use Browse to narrow the catalog by genre, status, or type. You can sort by recent updates, popularity, title, or date added. The header search checks series titles, authors, and genres. If you already know a title, the A–Z list provides another way to find it.

Choose where to start

Open a series page to read its synopsis and check the available chapter list. The page shows catalog details such as genres, status, author, or artist when that information is available. Select Read First to open the earliest chapter in the catalog, or Latest to jump to the newest listed chapter. You can also choose a specific chapter from the list.

Use the chapter reader

Chapters display as a vertical sequence of page images, so you can scroll down to continue reading. Images load as you approach them. The chapter selector and previous and next buttons appear above and below the page images, which makes it easier to move through a long chapter. You can also use the left and right arrow keys on a keyboard to move to the previous or next chapter.

Keep your place

The reader saves your position for the current chapter in your browser, then restores it when you return in that browser. Use the bookmark button on a series page to save a title, and open Bookmarks to see saved series. These features use local browser storage: they are not tied to an account or synced to another device. Clearing site data, using a private session, or changing browsers can remove or separate saved items.

Check the series page for updates

Chapter lists and status can change when the catalog is updated. Reopen the series page to see the latest chapters currently available on this site. Chapter totals describe the catalog listing and do not by themselves say whether a story is complete.
